TitlePage ONIX updates: what you need to know
TitlePage has been updated in the December 2025 release to support the latest EDItEUR ONIX codelist updates, ensuring publishers can use current controlled vocabularies when supplying metadata to the Australian market.
ONIX codelist updates - Issue 71 Now Supported
TitlePage now supports EDItEUR ONIX codelist Issue 71. This continues our commitment to timely adoption of EDItEUR updates, reducing the gap between ratification and practical use across the Australian supply chain
Highlights from Issue 71
Issue 71 includes a wide range of updates across multiple codelists. Key additions include:
“Indigenous to” contributor place relator code improves the ability to describe culturally and geographically meaningful associations between contributors and places to support more accurate and respectful representation of contributor relationships within metadata.
Austlang identifiers under Subject Scheme Identifier list 27 - enabling publishers to more precisely identify Australian Indigenous languages in ONIX metadata. This is an important step toward better visibility, discoverability, and cultural accuracy for works created in, or associated with, First Nations languages.
Support for EUDR product form feature types to help ensure metadata can support downstream compliance obligations where applicable.
Additional platform update
DTD validation now correctly flags duplicated composites that provide the same information, aligning with the ONIX 3.1 specification
Important notes
Publishers should ensure their internal systems are updated to Issue 71 to align with the values now supported by TitlePage
ONIX 2.1 remains fixed at codelist Issue 36. Updates from Issue 37 onward apply only to ONIX 3.x
